Crakk Jeetega... Toh Jiyegaa (2024) Review

Review: Crackk (2024)

Crackk offers a rollercoaster of action-packed sequences, showcasing innovative concepts rarely seen in Bollywood. The camera work deserves applause for capturing the adrenaline-fueled moments with perfection. Among the four action sequences, the long-awaited showdown between Arjun and Vidyut in the climax stands out, delivering a thrilling experience.

However, the film isn't without its flaws. Vidyut's accent, haircut, and dressing style may be distracting, accompanied by subpar acting. Despite being a favorite, Amy Jackson's role falls flat, while Arjun Rampal shines with his usual brilliance in both acting prowess and looks. Bijoy Anand delivers commendable performance, but the repetitive ghostly appearances of Ankit Mohan become tiresome. Nora Fatehi's portrayal is average at best.

The first half of the film could have been tighter, enhancing the overall pacing and engagement. Nevertheless, Crackk remains a worthwhile watch primarily due to its high-octane action sequences. If you're a fan of adrenaline-pumping thrills, this movie won't disappoint.

I recently watched the movie,
and I have to say it left me with mixed feelings. The acting was decent, nothing extraordinary but not terrible either. I'd rate it around a 6 out of 10.

Now, the music and sound effects really stood out to me. They were so well done, really added depth to the scenes, and kept me engaged throughout. You feel it throughout the sorry. Plus there were no unnecessary typical Bollywood songs. Solid 10 out of 10 there.

As for the action, it was good, kept the adrenaline pumping, but it didn't blow me away. I'd say it's about a 7 out of 10. The story was fine, definitely different from what I expected, which was a nice surprise. However, there were moments where it felt a bit cluttered with unnecessary subplots. I'd give the story a 6 out of 10.

On the visual side, the cinematography was impressive. The scenes were beautifully shot, capturing the essence of the story. The movie felt sped up a bit, I'd rate it around an 7 out of 10.

Overall, I'd say the movie was alright. It had its highs and lows, but it's worth a watch if you're into something a bit different than your usual bollywood movies.

Crakk is a slick, entertaining, high on adrenaline action flick with some great stunt work and action sequences. It has a great villain in Arjun Rampal and a real martial arts action star in Vidyut Jamwal and they both do a pretty decent job in their respective roles. The premise of the movie which takes inspiration from dystopian action movies like The Condemned, Death Race, Running Man, Mad Max: Fury Road etc is pretty decent. It mixes action, revenge and crime thriller sub-genres very well. The movie is overall technically pretty sound for an action movie with good stunts, VFX, cinematography, editing but it unfortunately also struggles with poor dialog writing and its side characters.

The movie is good fun but drags a bit at certain points and would have benefited from a shorter run time. Nora and Amy Jackson are both nice to look at but dont excite as much with their acting skills. The songs are also a distraction for the genre and were not required. Focus on Vidyut and the crakking action without these distractions would have elevated the movie.

Vidyut is doing a decent job of creating his own niche brand of a solid action genre in Bollywood similar to the likes of Martial Artist stars like Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Steven Seagal and others. Crakk is an action packed entry in the right direction to solidify Vidyut's brand and image. It is a good and ambitious action movie but isn't good enough to make him as bankable an action star as his idols at the moment. It is still a pretty fun action flick.
