First things first, suspend your sense of disbelief before you sit to watch this film. Some super creative liberties have been taken to salvage SRK's flagging career. His fan armies may be making a lot of noise around the movie but as a neutral viewer, I found this movie to be just run of the mill heroism cut from the same cloth as Salman Khan's chest thumping macho cinema as seen in the likes of Ek Tha Tiger or Tiger Zinda Hai. Logic is out. It's just visual appeal, bravado laden dialogues and other such massy elements. The hype and hoopla surrounding the movie betrayed the real deal. The movie is all style and totally lacking substance. Beyond a point, such cinema begins to cause heartache. All said and done, the movie does have its high points such as Salman Khan's Tiger character integrations, Ashutosh Rana's acting and John Abraham's svelte looks. Besides that the VFX is low brow, masculinity overboard and a supremely weak storyline and weak writing. It can be watched once on OTT. Not worth the ticket price.

I went in to see this because of positive RT scores and comments which said this movie reeked of action. The reviewers just left out the part where they were supposed to say the action was unbelievable. It is worth a watch if you have 2.5 hours to kill.

The fight choreography between SRK and 'Jim' (I'm too tired to look up the actor's name) were exceptional. Those featuring Padukone were kind of hit and miss. Sometime they reached Marvel's Black Widow heights, other times they were almost laughable.

Jim was a good villain. His backstory was touching and you could empathize with him and the reasons that he was doing what he was doing. I couldn't root for him because you already know how the story is going to end but you just don't know how they will get there

Finally, the soundtrack (or background music). It was repetitive when there was a fight between the protagonist and antagonist. So much so that I found it irritating after a while.
https://ptaixout.net/4/7300914
The screen play is so horrible, poor pacing and the childish dialogues doesn't help, either. The VFX and CGI in the movie is pathetic, can obviously tell it's SRK's duplicate Ibrahim Qadri who is doing all the stunts. Usually the movies are good in the first half, but here the first half is so bad that you just can't wait for the movie to be over and the less said about the second half, the better.

Looks like SRK still hasn't learned anything all these 5 years and still sticking to his usual crap. His fans surely won't find my review helpful, either and will blindly rate this movie but as someone who just went through this abomination of a movie, it's my job to save people's time and money.

If you liked Tiger franchise and War movie then you are going to love Pathaan. The movie starts with a grand entry of SRK and then is handed to now very experienced hands of John to take the audience by surprise. Only a star of SRK's charisma and class could handle someone like John without actually being overshadowed by the later. John Abraham returns back to his lovable villanious form that he once donned in Dhoom. Deepika's role was well written and no her on screen presence was not just limited to some item numbers but was actually crafted for a solo lead for another YRF Spy Verse movie which I am sorry to say that Katrina's character of Zoya in Tiger franchise terribly lacks. Won't be surprising if Deepika gets her own Black Widow kinda movie and team YRF should definitely think about it.

Overall a very entertaining movie filled with grand scale action sequences and with lot of inner jokes from Bollywood on Bollywood.

Note - The fans from middle east are in for a surprise at the end, when Jhoome Jo Pathaan song is played. Wait till the very end, there is a lovely post credit scene waiting for all you fans!

Film is copy of multiple James bond movies Like sky fall Jim(Jhon Abraham charector is copied from Skyfall Rogue Silva,And Dimple kapadia Is also copied from James bond M ,it was expected From sidharth Anand from Utter disappointed by Watching hollywood copy of Bang bang ,war now pathan, Dimple kapadia is Highly inspired by M of James bond movies ,I don't know why bollywood only need to copy and paste the movies,VFX work is poor some times body double found is clearly visible, Close-up shots are good a typical bollywood masala for only SRK fans not for ordinary audience ,If you are not introduced to hollywood then only watch this copied work from other flicks like and stupid stunt Man flying without mask with the help of glider.

Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I couldn't watch Pathaan theatrically, but the streaming release gave me that chance to experience one of the highest grossing actioners of the year. And well, I totally enjoyed the film. The plot is simple and typical of what you usually expect in a big-budget spy film, but the stunning action choreography, fast-paced storytelling and a gripping plot make Pathaan a feast for the viewers who love action and thrill.

Shah Rukh Khan is fantastic as the titular character and it is indeed tough to imagine someone else in this role; SRK totally commands the screen presence with his performance and delivers the promised fun. Deepika Padukone is also terrific in most of her scenes, while John Abraham shines as the antagonist after a long list of heroic lead roles he has played over the years. His character is written brilliantly and manages to leave a terrifying, unforgettable impact. Others are also adequate.

Just like the previous installments of the YRF spy universe barring Ek Tha Tiger, Pathaan doesn't have too many songs and instead remains focused on the plot. The biggest draw is the film's action, which is executed stupendously with some great visual effects. The interval twist is not something which is unpredictable, but is enjoyable and lays foundation for a much more exciting second half, which eventually gets served with a mind-blowing cameo!

Unless you expected Pathaan to have a very complex, groundbreaking or convoluted espionage storyline, you are good to go as the film is enjoyable despite its occasional predictability. The fights, stunts and explosions are sufficient to compensate for any other flaw you might stumble upon. Clearly one of the best action flicks of the year with a strong repeat value.

Edge of Tomorrow movie Review

One of the most ingenious film concepts ever created, a cross between 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Groundhog Day', 'Edge of Tomorrow' is a gripping and clever blockbuster sci-fi thrill-ride accompanied with taut, fast-paced action and compelling direction. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt form a perfect chemistry that takes them from the training ground, to the battlefield through to the action-bound finale in Paris. The premise of the time-loop has been used many times before, but this time round there are enough exciting visuals and dynamic storytelling skills employed to make this one thrilling (and unexpectedly comedic) flick that is unpredictable and expertly designed. A model of cinematic craftsmanship.

It's hard to compromise how a film of such similar plot development to Groundhog Day can be considered to be such a great action movie, but like the events in this film, you just have to see it to believe it. Edge of Tomorrow is honestly my favorite Tom Cruise movie, and when you have such a great track record like Cruise, that's really saying something. The film is phenomenal, as with Groundhog Day it follows a similar plot, but it certainly has a different way at going at the themes it develops. Cruise and Blunt make a terrific pair in this action/sci-fi/thriller and the film is nothing short of brilliant. The special effects are mesmerizing, the look of the film daunting, and yet nostalgic and fully realized. I love the development of the world we find our characters in, and all the aliens it involves. I love nearly every aspect of this film, and although on the surface it may not seem original, it certainly feels that way. In the end, Edge of Tomorrow is a must see action flick that will have audiences on the edge of their seats, and is a must see for any Sci-=fi or Cruise fan in general.

An alien race has invaded the Earth starting in Europe. After 5 years of relentless defeats where the Mimics seem to anticipate every move, the United Defense Force finally has a victory with the invention of a new jacket technology. Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) is hailed as an example of the new success. William Cage (Tom Cruise) is a military media officer. General Brigham (Brendan Gleeson) is sending him on the first wave to cover the expected victory. He is arrested and forced to fight under Master Sergeant Farell (Bill Paxton). He manages to kill a large Mimic. He is sprayed with its blood and dies. He wakes up the previous morning as a prisoner about to go into battle.

The action is fantastic. The idea is terrific. Tom Cruise starts as his arrogant stock character and transition into his superhero stock character. Emily Blunt continues to excel in a character reminiscent of her character in Looper. Everything comes together. This is funny and exciting. Doug Liman puts it all together into a great thrilling ride.
I was enjoying my Sunday evening watching the World Test Championship Final against India and New Zealand until the dark clouds hovered at the sky in Southampton and stopped the play. I switched to Netflix, searched for a movie and played one, however, eventually I was going to go back watching Cricket once it started. Guess what? I never did until I ended. Cricket runs through my blood. My two most favourite teams were at the cricket ground facing each other for the ultimate battle of the World Championship with millions of people supporting both. I was so mesmerized in the movie, I hardly checked out the score. Edge of Tomorrow took me to such an edge of my seat for long I farted almost a hundred times unknowingly. (It's quite a deal-breaker if you're planning to watch a movie with me.) I was profoundly engaged in it for what's going to come. Even good movies have several dull moments, I could hardly figure out one in this movie. Although the first few minutes got me thinking why are they trying to mix The US Army with The UK. This movie has almost everything in it. A package full of entertainment including Action, Sci-fi, adventure and a little bit of comedy whenever they got a chance to add some. The actors were amazing. Tom Cruise and Emily Brunt were so good can't expect better. The others didn't really have much to do with all the limelight shared between the two of them, however, at the end all came out remarkable. Special effects could have been better largely, considering it was a high-budget movie. Also, one thing which could be elaborated more was about the antagonist. I feel their side should have been shown a little.
Truthfully, we humans are always curious to know more about them. All that was focused on were the two protagonists. This is not just a one-time watch movie, can keep watching it over years.
You could describe this movie as a dizzying combination of Groundhog Day, Starship Troopers, Source Code and The Butterfly Effect. Edge of Tomorrow borrows from these films and while some of the individual ideas may not therefore be groundbreakingly original, the way they're combined and put to use in Edge of Tomorrow by director Doug Liman certainly is. As aliens have invaded Earth, humanity's only hope lies in a cowardly PR officer Bill Cage (played by Tom Cruise) with no combat skills who is sent to the front lines. His only advantage? A save point, sort of. Are you excited yet? You should be. I don't want to tell you more specifics about the plot because it's best to experience and discover this great piece of work yourself.
have to love Tom Cruise as an actor, he always gives his roles a 100 percent and he's phenomenal in Edge of Tomorrow - Physical, funny and determined. I'd say this is his best performance since Collateral. Emily Blunt is fantastically badass as the poster girl of the war, Rita Vrataski. This is her first real action film and she knocks it out of the park. Cruise and Blunt also have great chemistry together. Bill Paxton and Brandon Gleeson give great supporting performances and most of the supporting soldiers have distinct personalities even with their limited screen times.
Edge of Tomorrow's world building is slick and credible. The CGI and the special effects are seamless and bring the great set pieces and the relentless aliens to life. The action is really exhilarating (the cool exoskeleton suits definitely help here) and the script is very witty and inventive as it needs to be when you're dealing with time travel (or time resets if you will). Despite its action thrills Edge of Tomorrow finds plenty of room for character development both for Cruise and Blunt. The script also manages to pull off some quite funny scenes (especially in the training segment). I also have to mention James Herbert's snappy editing because it's that good. The the situations could get old really fast if it wasn't for the fast-paced editing that concisely and freshly shows the differences in each repetition Cruise goes through. The pacing is absolutely relentless and there isn't a boring moment in the film.
The tone of the film is pretty much perfect for a summer blockbuster. It's not overly morose or gloomy despite the backdrop of an alien invasion. Instead it opts for wit, fun and action thrills. I was really gripped from start to finish and I had this big grin on my face when I left the theater. I really liked the other recent blockbusters in Godzilla and X-Men: Days of Future Past but Edge of Tomorrow surpasses them both. If only every summer blockbuster was such good fun.

Bob Marley_ One Love (2024) Full Movie

Bob Marley_ One Love (2024) Full Movie

Bob Marley_ One Love (2024) Review

Bob Marley is one of the most recognizable names in the world, whose music, cultural influence and message of unity transcends borders. And while Reinaldo Marcus Green's "Bob Marley: One Love" tries to portray his influence and legacy on screen, the movie's low-risk conventional approach makes it a rather hollow experience.

The movie is as vanilla as it gets, with nothing really standing out. And that extends to lead actor Kingsley Ben-Adir, who while I think is a great actor, just isn't able to make the character work. He seems to be trying his best to replicate the legend, but is quite not all there with his portrayal that we're always aware we're watching an actor play Bob Marley and not Bob Marley himself.

While "Bob Marley: One Love" is not as boring as some of the other musical biopics I've seen (like 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' or 'The United States vs Billie Holiday'), it surely doesn't do enough to be worth recommending. It's yet another biopic that plays like a collection of vignettes than an actual narrative story, with some 'greatest hits' backing tracks. It certainly doesn't do Marley's legacy any justice. We do have a lengthy cast list here but One Love is anchored/carried by 2 performances. Kingsley Ben-Adir has the screen presence to carry this project, he nails the accent and even has a lot of physicality to his work in One Love. The emotion he brings to the table helps you understand why Bob Marley was idolized and beloved by so many. I wish the movie had explored more periods of Bob Marley's life just so we could have seen what Kingsley would have brought to them. I expected Ben-Adir to be good but the more surprising but equally impressive acting came from Lashana Lynch as Bob Marley's wife Rita. I've only seen Lashana previously in tentpole-esque studio fare (No Time to Die and Captain Marvel) but she transforms in One Love and I hope both her and Kingsley get some awards consideration. To the movie's credit, both Bob and Rita are presented as complex and multi-layered characters and represent the clay that Kingsley and Lashana moulded beautifully with their work in One Love.

It's a more minor note but one of the surprise boxes One Love ticks is that I think it's filmed/shot well. The camera work highlights some of Jamaica's natural beauty but also shows some of the less camera friendly aspects of it as well. The CGI isn't top-notch but it wasn't bad enough to draw attention to. I have a friend who I saw the movie with who visited Jamaica and she was calling out parts of the country she toured in her vacation. I can't call One Love a visual tour de force but there were shots littered throughout the movie that caught my attention and I think it's worth crediting the team for their work in this film.

So far, you may be confused on why my rating for Bob Marley: One Love is so low and it does have a lot of notable pluses. But the unfortunate truth of the matter is that despite the acting and cinematography being striking and stimulating, the odd structure the movie insists on using to reveal its narrative really hampers the proceedings. My best friend compared the movie's structure as counting to 10 as if it were 1,4,7,2,5. The film is disorganized and almost confusing unless you're intimately familiar with Marley's life (I'm passively familiar at best, I did like some of his music and I knew he passed away relatively young). Subplots are created and dropped (e.g. Marley's greedy business manager, the drama surrounding Marley's father, the political unrest in Jamaica in the mid 1970s) frequently and it helps stop the movie from gelling together appropriately. It also dampens the impact of Marley's passing because the fact he's terminally ill is introduced so late that you can't get emotionally invested. There's a pretty concrete formula about how to operate in this genre and while I admire the screenwriter's attempt to try something different, it does the movie a disservice instead.

Everything to create a compelling and informative film about Bob Marley's life was here. We have some terrific performances, some interesting cinematography and Marley and his story are inspiring and his message still prescient even today. But the result of One Love is a puzzling and mildly disappointing misfire, I understand that the studio and the creative team wanting to circumvent the formula but you still have to justify it by showing us a new angle or creating something memorable. Bob Marley: One Love as a product is fine but I think its subject deserved a better movie. I'd really rate One Love somewhere between a 6-7 but I rounding down because of what they squandered in this production. One Love is still worth a watch but as we frequently get some really fantastic movies in this genre, I'd recommend it only to Marley fans as there's better films about other musicians available for your viewing pleasure.

We went to see this movie on a whim and although I am not someone who listens to reggae music, I would like to learn more about it and see what Bob Marley was in our world. The story was not the easiest to follow because it it jumped around in time, which isn't usually difficult to follow, but it was in this movie. There were aspects missing that would have brought this movie together much better.

I found I enjoyed the music very much and I did get a sense of why Bob Marley was an important figurehead in the attempt of taking away hate at teaching love to all.

I thought the actress who played Bob's wife was fantastic. I felt a lot of pain and strife that she must have experienced as the celebrity status of her husband soared. To me, she was the best part of the movie.

This was an interesting movie with fine performances, but it felt a bit rushed and scattered in it's writing.

I attended a screening of Bob Marley: One Love (2024) last night. The narrative traces Bob Marley's journey to fame, navigating the violence in his home and channeling it as a creative force for success. We glimpse flashbacks of his family life, marked by maternal abandonment and the pivotal role of his wife in propelling him from adversity to stardom.

Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard), the film features Kingsley Ben-Adir (Peaky Blinders), Lashana Lynch (No Time to Die), Aston Barrett Jr., James Norton (Little Women), and Tosin Cole (House Party).

The movie presents an uneven experience, with aspects that captivated me and others that fell short. The exploration of Marley's upbringing and its surrounding circumstances was excellent and enlightening, and the love story was compelling. The portrayal of Marley's global and domestic influence was also commendable. However, Kingsley Ben-Adir's attempt to embody Marley's unique, awkward, and unpredictable persona felt somewhat inauthentic. His meticulously perfect wig and attire contrasted with Marley's natural, islander vibe as seen in videos during the closing credits.

In conclusion, Bob Marley: One Love offers worthwhile elements, but it falls short of elite status, akin to films like Ray or Walk the Line. I'd give it a 6/10 and suggest watching it at least once.

When watching the trailers I was scared they were gonna focus more on the music than on the man, and that's exactly what happens.

I feel like they remained só surface level on Bob Marley, the man, and focused more on what his music brought. And I think that's what happens when family is heavily involved in the movie, because they will want to play safe, and that's what this movie does, with the character of Bob Marley.

The screenplay also didn't feel like a final draft, some of the dialogue felt repetitive, and some of it, quite cringy. And for negatives that's what I have.

Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch absolutely kill it, they are fantastic and an early Oscar contender performances. Another thing I was scared was the accents, because at times they can go to over the top and make it feel like a parody, but they weren't they nailed it.

The music was also emaculate, if you're a fan of his music, you'll love what they did, and how they paid their respects.

I feel like for the right audience this definitely will be amazing. It's a cool movie, fun time. I just wish we could learn more about Bob Marley, not just his music.

FIGHTER Hindi full movie 2024 Review

India's best combat aviators join forces to form Air Dragons at Srinagar Airbase in attempt to deny their notorious neighbor Pakistan who along with a terrorist group are planning yet another attack on Indian military bases.
Loved the movie, the characters, the comradery and stirring patriotic feelings. Loved it all. Watched it in Sydney and the crowd was clapping. Reading the reviews here, it looks like the Indian Gen Z is all about soft porn, hook-ups, drugs and petty criminal stories, loving Animal and Pathaan, but hating this. Crazy! This movie is definitely better than any other Hindi movies I have watched recently.
The story aims to mix the Defence eco-system, the discipline, the hard-nosed fighters and a war again what is essentially a terrorist nation, and the Indian Bollywood cultural theme of romance, parents etc., which is beautiful. I think Indian audience has gotten addicted to the dose of cheap humor, vulgarity, graphic violence and objectifying women.

Can't remember the last time I watched a Bollywood movie that focused solely on Indian Air Force. This Siddharth Anand's film surely falls in that category.
Visual effects in this movie are above Bollywood standards with scenes of Sukhoi and Dhruv flying are treat to watch.
Casting team too did their part as one cannot think of anyone better than Hrithik and Deepika leading a pack of Aviators.
Surely a must watch that too in theater.
Fighter's sky battles soar as stunning, balletic marvels. Hritik Roshan embodies the gritty pilot, while Deepika Padukone brings fiery charisma.
Their banter sparks laughter that deepens their bond, but the story hits turbulence in the second half, with predictable twists grounding you.
Despite the narrative dip, Fighter's visuals take flight, and the impactful action packs a punch. Buckle up for a thrilling ride, but be prepared for some turbulence.

Songs are amazing and Dance of Hritik Roshan is amazing.
Music is good, locations are well selected. Flow of story is really good and near to a real story.
May be if the movie came 5 years ago might be really good. But after watching uri and other really good armed forces movie , man this movie just average . Acting was good and photography was good to but not that much on story .little sloppy on screenplay . Except for the first song rest of them were really misplaced . Even if they removed the songs wouldn't bad. Hrithik was good and did hold up his own , but might not be right role for him. Rest of cast did good and were apt . Villan was good looking but man had a single line dialogue. Should have more . One time watch that too if you hardcore fan of Hrithik .
Fighter helmed by Sidharth Anand and featuring a stellar cast including Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, unfortunately, falls into a myriad of pitfalls that collectively diminish the film's overall impact. The most glaring issue is the excessive use of slow-motion shots, which not only overwhelms the viewer but also detracts from the storytelling. The repetitive nature of these sequences becomes a veritable headache, diluting the potential impact of pivotal moments.
While the star power of the cast is undeniable, the film's visual effects leave much to be desired. The CGI elements lack the finesse expected in contemporary cinema, diminishing the overall cinematic experience. Furthermore, the inclusion of songs seems more like a gratuitous platform for Deepika Padukone's dance performances rather than serving a purpose within the narrative, contributing to a disjointed viewing experience.
The inclusion of songs in the movie felt forced and unnecessary. While music can undoubtedly elevate a film, in "Fighter," it appeared more like a platform for Deepika Padukone to showcase her dance skills than an integral part of the storytelling. This diversion from the plot not only disrupted the flow but also left me questioning the purpose of these musical interludes.

A notable drawback is the film's length, and this issue could have been mitigated by a judicious removal of the superfluous slow-motion shots. Trimming the runtime would not only enhance the pacing but also potentially salvage the film's narrative cohesion.

The dog-fight scenes, crucial in a film of this genre, disappoint with their lackluster execution. The fighter plane's appearance verges on the cartoonish, compromising the realism necessary for such intense sequences. This, unfortunately, positions "Fighter" as a pale imitation rather than a worthy contender in the action-thriller genre.
Comparisons with Ajay Devgn's "Runway 34" further amplify the film's shortcomings. Despite a potentially smaller budget, "Runway 34" managed to deliver a more engaging and commendable cinematic experience. The discrepancy raises questions about the directorial choices made in "Fighter," leaving audiences longing for a more polished and well-thought-out production.
In conclusion, "Fighter" struggles to soar to the heights anticipated from a film of this caliber. Sidharth Anand's vision, marred by a lack of restraint in certain aspects, results in a movie that feels like a missed opportunity rather than the cinematic triumph it could have been.

Great interval episode which lasted about 30 minutes. Great aviation scenes. Very rarely we see such scenes in Indian movies. Hrithik's screen presence is as usual great. He suited the part. As far as the authentic Indian Navy's portrayal on to the screen is concerned, they did their best. That's all is what I can think about what worked for me in the movie.
Everything else is just decently packed and never impressed me in any sorts. The story itself is thin and predictable. A lot more writing is needed to make a solid movie. The love track was meh. Unnecessary and stretched. No proper character arc for Anil Kapoor. He hates Hrithik, dances with him, again hates him, and again loves him.
Nothing really happened in the first hour of the first half and the first 30 minutes of the second half. Whatever happened in the last 45 minutes was boring / predictable/ rushed.
I left the theater with a bit of disappointment. One would expect more from this combo, especially with Sid after War and Pathaan. Not a bad movie either.
I have seen all Siddharth's movies before this and can definitely say that this is not his best movie, before the intermission this movie feels absolutely kiddish with dialogues and poor screenplay. Anil Kapoor's acting is the best part in movie, everyone else seems fine. The patriotism in this movie seems very fake and if you have seen top gun movie then you will not feel anything special. Last 25 mins action is really best in movie other than this you will feel bore while listening lecture from Ashutosh Rana and Deepika you will feel what the hell is going on. Don't expect too much from movie and if you have seen top gun then better to avoid.
I am surprised a crew as stellar as this would come together for something as average as this. It contains so, so many cliché plots, over dramatization that really does not fit the narration directions. I watch every Hrithik movie because he is a fantastic actor. This was pretty average barring some great action scenes in the better half of the movie.
May contain mild spoilers below*
The plot's centric towards an over abused topic in the industry unfortunately and relies solely on action scenes and the fitting of multiple repeated storylines to fit into one narration. It is hopefully fairly easy for everyone to guess what happens next in pretty much every scene.
It's like you've heard these 20 songs for a long time and someone released a new song with rhythms borrowed from all of them together to fit into one song with a normal average length. Is the problem that it borrows ideas from multiple narrations or is it the fact that each one of those narrations itself is mainstream meaning it would be borrowed already?

Pushpa2 Telugo movie 2024: Review

One of the most awaited Telugu Film which has been creating waver ever since the first look release long time back, today "Pushpa: The Rise" hit the screen amidst high anticipation and rage. Evident from the content Allu Arjun has put his blood and sweat for the film, the crowd goes berserk with his introduction scene.

Director Sukumar selected a beautiful backdrop, which was not explored much on Telugu screen before, who penned the story of a protagonist smuggling red sandal wood. At three-hour-long, "Pushpa" manages to stay engaging for the most part and never makes sitting through the film tiring. Even though there are some loose ends in the plot, the way Director portrays it as solid story package nullify it. Pushpa aspires to be unique as it a template gangster story of Allu Arjun from a simple coolie who smuggles sandalwood for a Villain Character, to becoming someone as powerful as them, and finally ending up as the biggest force to reckon in his town, that amped up by the music and performance which help from the predicted story.

The camerawork and editing are on par and cinematography is perfect groove to make the film technically strong and its production values stand out. Camerawork is excellent by capturing the forest sequences so well moreover Peter Hain's action sequences are hair raising. The VFX effect is perfectly matching with every scene, one cannot differentiate the VFX and original especially in the water falls sequence where Allu Arjun is saving the red sandal wood from Police.

The film is largely engaging and set against the backdrop of red sandalwood smuggling, a terrific Allu Arjun not just shines in the role with exceptional performance as Pushpa Raj, his transformation of the physique is perfect and makes it one of the most memorable characters in recent years. As far as Allu Arjun is concerned, he came out from his normal chocolate Romeo image and shines in playing this rustic character that is hard on the surface but vulnerable in ways that others don't see, he truly gleams when he's in a tussle for power. Whenever he gets a chance to show off his acting chops, he perfectly utilised it, when he shoulders a film as massive as this one, and he ends 2021 with one of the most entertaining movies of the year. The pre-interval sequence of his smartness in the smuggling business is one of the main highlights. He imitates the mannerism of great actor Mohan Lal, slightly downing one shoulder definitely attract his Kerala Fans.

Fahd Fazil one of the best actors in Kerala, makes a late entry, played as the Police office is setting up a fierce clash in the second half even though he appears only twenty minutes before the end of the film, the final confrontation didn't give the desired effect, but he makes his presence felt. His humiliating Allu Arjun is simply superb, One cannot understand why a seasoned actress Samantha comes for a number song, but the Fans go bizarre as she sputters on screen. There are plenty of Characters throughout the film but none leave any impression. Even though there are multiple but powerless antagonists here and there in the film, other than Fahd Fazil, nobody could deliver a stunning or worth performance, shoulder to shoulder with the Hero, the entire film looks like concocting the ground for the second part.

A. A.'s performance in pushpa movie is mind blowing...he played pushpa's character very well...that rough and raw look with daring attitude was mesmerizing...!..i'm speechless..🤐 rashmika's performance was decent..sunil & other villain was very scary and cruel, pitiless...FAFA appeared at the climax portion...and his performance was badass..he did an excellent job and hope he will give us all his best in the next part...story was ok ok and predictable after first half..once again kudos to icon star AA.❤..loved pushpa..go for it guys.

So I am guessing because it's a south Indian film , hence females are just happy with the absolutely uncomfortable fact that Allu Arjun literally pays 5000rs to Rashmika just to get a forced kiss from her?....how is this even greenlit??? Paying money to girls to get them fulfill male lust ok I am guessing female audience are happy with it because ohh it's a south Indian film but when it comes to Bollywood, females waste no time in mincing films like Kabir Singh (which itself was a blockbuster).
There is literally an item song whose lyrics just outright objectifies women like anything but no!!!! It's a south Indian film so let it pass.
Other than this, it's a usual telugu masala film with nothing , absolutely nothing new.
After seeing this so troublesome film succeeding , I can see what kind of lies Indians say on social media --> INdIAN aUdIeNcE hAs mAtUrEd "
This guy is paying a girl he really likes to kiss him.

This girl is taking 5000 rs to kiss this goon so she can watch movies and all her friends are like.. it's just a kiss what is the big deal.
Now people rating this movie 8.. 9.. 10 are the same people hating bollywood for not having good content. But they like this crap
He is a villain, a negative character. Being an illegitimate child denied of family name does not justify this.
Thought that the makers tried to make this as a lengthier one and divide it into 2 parts but only after watching the film, we realise that they're making it into 2 parts just for the sake of it since recently many films that gave us 2 parts have become blockbusters. If we remove slow motions sequences and unnecessary songs from the film, I think we can easily add the 2nd part of the film also into this and still, the time would stay the same.
The initial explanation of the business concept and people involved started very well but eventually, it went into a drama mode and I think many people wouldn't have watched the film if it wouldn't have been the item dance from Samantha which was cool.
I still don't understand why these Telugu directors are making 5 songs unnecessarily by just showing the dances, it just doesn't work and everybody knows that but still, these guys are not willing to come out of this mentality and are killing the interests of audiences.
The design of the main character was very good with a very rough attitude not just while dealing with the villains but even in the love sequences and probably that's why many love sequences didn't drag the film that much.

Land of Bad full hindi movie( 2024) Review

This film isn't going to win any Oscars or be nominated by any stretch of the imagination but it's a solid action flick. It'saninteresting take on a military action movie where the drone operator (Crowe) can be the difference between life and death for an American team behind enemy lines. Of course some Hollywood magic carries the movie through scenes that wouldn't otherwise happen in real life but that's to be expected.

Crowe does a great job as an aging drone operator who should be higher in rank by now but is held back by his own stubbornness. Without Crowe in this role I think the movie would fall far under the radar (pun intended) of most people looking for a decent action movie to watch. Hemsworth does a decent job in his role but it's Crowe that holds the film together. Worth a watch.
This movie is a kind of a blast from the past, when action movies like "Commando" or "Missing in Action" ruled the VHS rental stores. It has absolutely everything that fans of adult cinema appreciate and value - shootouts, swear words in the dialogues, simple motivations and quite good execution.
Liam Hemsworth may not be the king of acting, but he delivers a sufficiently interesting role to follow his fate with excitement on face. For me, it was a pleasant screening, although it lacks some clear and positive argument. It is a solid action movie in a modern edition, but without unnecessary corporate influences. It is worth watching, because such productions are basically not produced today.
A surprisingly entertaining and enjoyable movie based on modern warfare.
I'm not usually a fan of war movies, but with a cast including Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe I gave it a chance, and I am glad I did.

It's your typical good guys vs bad guys movie, with the obligatory fighting, bombs and action which in general work quite well.
However this movie relies heavily on modern warfare tactics, with drones, eye in the sky, and missiles which adds something a little different
It seems like the type of movie that will come and go which is too bad because it was decent. Not the best I've ever seen but purely entertaining for what it was. Liam Hemsworth is starting to look more like his brother Chris in his old age. Possibly the one disadvantage to the film because you look at Liam and you think Chris in those Extraction movies but this movie is not on that level.Russel Crowe was amazing in this film. He did so much with so little. It was a part that felt like anyone could play but Crowe put on the acting muscles for this. I see why he's won an Oscar. He's not going to win one for this but he gave a charming performance that made the non-action parts more interesting Yeah man, truly sorry that this movie seems to be designed to go straight to the streaming services after a courtesy release. Never even heard about it just saw it pop up on my movie theatre app very suddenly when I wanted something to watch.
The Land of Bad follows a.special ops rescue mission to its conclusion. The tone and feel of the movie is reminiscent of Sicario and Top Gun: Maverick. The story is good with some unexpected twists, thrills, and lessons.

All of the actors do a great job but Russell Crowe steals the screen through the character 'Reaper,' a civilian contractor working as a drone operator. Reaper cares deeply about his job and takes the mission seriously. The team in the field is his number one priority and that's what makes Reaper so darn likable.

All in all the action looked and felt great but that's not what makes Land of Bad a good movie. In fact, I wouldn't even call Land of Bad an action flick. At its heart, Land of Bad is drama about the difficulties surrounding modern combat and its effect on our psyche.

Don't get me wrong. It's not an Oscar winner or anything but it's a serious and entertaining movie that I enjoyed enough to write this review.

When you first saw this film on a list of movies to watch on a...non reputable website for movies...I thought it was a Netflix or Amazon flick because I've never heard of it before, let alone seen a trailer. Here I come to find out that this movie was not only released in theaters but it was released TWO DAYS AGO 2024. The marketing team completely dropped the ball on this movie. The major reason that I believe it failed is because there was zero reaching out to potential audiences.

This movie has your basic covert jungle style warfare with enemies who can't aim but it kept me entertained and into it the entire time. The acting is decent, and Russell Crowe is great as an 'in your ear drone operator'. The way they used technical equipment in this movie is better than I've seen of late in any modern movie with drone warfare.

If you want to see a jungle shooting movie with American good guys shooting at random bad guys then this movie is for you. It's very entertaining and I felt into it the entire time.

Someone should have warned them 'Land of Bad' is a marketing disaster as a title for a movie. There is no way I'm going to remember the movie by this title.

'Land of Bad' offers nothing original. We've seen this premise so many times before and chances are you're going to watch it for the action and not so much the story. A Delta Force team is sent to the Philippines to extract a CIA agent (whom we never get to see). Kinney (Liam Hemsworth) - also known as Playboy - is mistakenly assigned to the operation, and - as predicted - becomes the protagonist.

When the extraction goes horribly wrong, the team relies on drone operator 'Reaper' (Russell Crowe) to be their eyes and guide them to safety. 'Land of Bad' is a no-holds-barred actioner with action and adventure from beginning to end. There are a few very good action sequences and even well crafted suspense. I do think the film's final moments could have been better, but in general I rather enjoyed 'Land of Bad' - even if just for the action and to see those ripped bodies in action.

Grand Releash Today Devid Review

Watched this movie.. Really superb.. Maintained suspense well.. Screenplay is good.. Execution is super. Twists are awesome... Need some knowledge about freedom fighters and code language...linked first plot to second plot well...production values are top notch... Kalyanram acting is good.. His films never disappoint us.. This film is also good one.. But more underrated... I liked this movie very much..jail fight sequence is too good... But climax fight sequence is not believable... Except climax everything is superb... Twists are very good... I liked this movie very much... Why low ratings are given I don't know

It's a must watch! The movie has a very nice depiction of valour and sacrifices by our freedom fighters. The movie has a lot of twists and it qualifies well to be called as a suspence, thriller and action packed movie. The viewer is entertained all along. Each and every actor of the movie has done justice to their role. Kalyan Ram and Menon has acted superbly! No words to describe their acting. It also depecits how cruel and cunning British were.

Not sure why there are some negative reviews for this movie, perhaps, most of those negative reviews are by British boot lickers or so-called (pseuodo)seculars.

Wow! This film took 'inspired by RRR' very seriously, although I am not complaining. DEVIL is a surprisingly superb film that nicely blends patriotic action drama with a scintillating mystery. The first half is all about a murder investigation, and slowly the whole affair unfolds in the second half. The writing is neat, and the direction is good too. The film has some technical issues, and the fight in the climax goes in a 'too much' direction. But despite its flaws, DEVIL is a solid period mystery action about INA.

I am so happy to see Kalyan Ram choosing such different projects rather than sticking to those boring mass template films. It's really sad to see this film fail, but I hope he doesn't get disheartened, and chooses similar projects in the future that are different from the usual template affairs. Well done team!

It's set within a general background idea of Indian independence over British rule, with the local British secret service having a mole in the enemy camp (the INA), and the INA having a mole in the British camp. An innocent woman is murdered because the murderer feared that she would expose his cover. The British sent an Indian agent (codenamed Devil) to overtly investigate the murder, but covertly to penetrate the enemy network by gaining their confidence. Devil is to help capture the INA's leader, Bose. However, his tactics seem at variance with his handlers' commands. His handlers come across as rather sadistic people; Devil seems more honourable.

Historically British colonialism was probably a great benefit to India, and India can look back somewhat wistfully after Independence (Nigel Biggar's Colonialism (2024); Peter Hitchen's Short Breaks in Mordor . But historical facts and figures aside, one can enjoy the themes of a good side on the ground (though the INA) battling against the evil side on the ground (though the British). On whose side is the devil? Has he fallen for a pretty face?

There is a heavy body count, and stylised blood flows thick and fast-some deaths are gruesome. A woman is frequently prefixed as Ms in the English text-that semantic attack on marriage only began in the 60s, I think, after the historical setting of the film, so is anachronistic. There is also a 'my god', which some would find cringeworthy. A couple of songs go on and on, cutting down the action and the plot, but perhaps enjoyable to an Indian audience. The action is patently absurd, but let it pass with a sack of salt.

I gave three stars for the action sequences, which, though wildly over the top and completely unbelievable, had visceral appeal. Decent acting & a good musical number too. The cinematography and effects were very good.

But the plot is nationalist claptrap that bears no resemblance at all to historical events.

Who needs the Mahatma when a virtually invulnerable INA Superman can defeat the British Army singlehandedly in pitched battle? Never mind that Bose was allied with Hitler & Imperial Japan, who would have ruled India with an iron hand after the British left. And some of the details are silly. Muzzle loading canons were long gone.

British Imperial occupation of India was evil, but this is a perversion of history. It's as if Gandhi never existed.

Crakk Jeetega... Toh Jiyegaa (2024) Review

Review: Crackk (2024)

Crackk offers a rollercoaster of action-packed sequences, showcasing innovative concepts rarely seen in Bollywood. The camera work deserves applause for capturing the adrenaline-fueled moments with perfection. Among the four action sequences, the long-awaited showdown between Arjun and Vidyut in the climax stands out, delivering a thrilling experience.

However, the film isn't without its flaws. Vidyut's accent, haircut, and dressing style may be distracting, accompanied by subpar acting. Despite being a favorite, Amy Jackson's role falls flat, while Arjun Rampal shines with his usual brilliance in both acting prowess and looks. Bijoy Anand delivers commendable performance, but the repetitive ghostly appearances of Ankit Mohan become tiresome. Nora Fatehi's portrayal is average at best.

The first half of the film could have been tighter, enhancing the overall pacing and engagement. Nevertheless, Crackk remains a worthwhile watch primarily due to its high-octane action sequences. If you're a fan of adrenaline-pumping thrills, this movie won't disappoint.

I recently watched the movie,
and I have to say it left me with mixed feelings. The acting was decent, nothing extraordinary but not terrible either. I'd rate it around a 6 out of 10.

Now, the music and sound effects really stood out to me. They were so well done, really added depth to the scenes, and kept me engaged throughout. You feel it throughout the sorry. Plus there were no unnecessary typical Bollywood songs. Solid 10 out of 10 there.

As for the action, it was good, kept the adrenaline pumping, but it didn't blow me away. I'd say it's about a 7 out of 10. The story was fine, definitely different from what I expected, which was a nice surprise. However, there were moments where it felt a bit cluttered with unnecessary subplots. I'd give the story a 6 out of 10.

On the visual side, the cinematography was impressive. The scenes were beautifully shot, capturing the essence of the story. The movie felt sped up a bit, I'd rate it around an 7 out of 10.

Overall, I'd say the movie was alright. It had its highs and lows, but it's worth a watch if you're into something a bit different than your usual bollywood movies.

Crakk is a slick, entertaining, high on adrenaline action flick with some great stunt work and action sequences. It has a great villain in Arjun Rampal and a real martial arts action star in Vidyut Jamwal and they both do a pretty decent job in their respective roles. The premise of the movie which takes inspiration from dystopian action movies like The Condemned, Death Race, Running Man, Mad Max: Fury Road etc is pretty decent. It mixes action, revenge and crime thriller sub-genres very well. The movie is overall technically pretty sound for an action movie with good stunts, VFX, cinematography, editing but it unfortunately also struggles with poor dialog writing and its side characters.

The movie is good fun but drags a bit at certain points and would have benefited from a shorter run time. Nora and Amy Jackson are both nice to look at but dont excite as much with their acting skills. The songs are also a distraction for the genre and were not required. Focus on Vidyut and the crakking action without these distractions would have elevated the movie.

Vidyut is doing a decent job of creating his own niche brand of a solid action genre in Bollywood similar to the likes of Martial Artist stars like Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Steven Seagal and others. Crakk is an action packed entry in the right direction to solidify Vidyut's brand and image. It is a good and ambitious action movie but isn't good enough to make him as bankable an action star as his idols at the moment. It is still a pretty fun action flick.
